Oloroso 1/14

El-Maestro-Sierra-Oloroso-1-14.jpg

From Palomino grapes, a special bottling of 50-60-year-old Oloroso, aged in a solera of 14, very old, American oak barrels. Oloroso sherries are aged through the oxidation process (not under flor), darkening the colour and adding complexity to the wine. This is a very rare and special bottling featuring some of the older solera systems found in the bodega.

Tasting Note: Aromas of toffee, caramel, toasted almond, walnuts, dried fig, spices on the nose. Dry, rich and supple, very complex on the palate with notes of coffee, mocha, dried flower and fruit, elegant texture, finessed, good acidity, a very lengthy ever-changing finish. Remarkable!
