Saumur Blanc Le Bourg

100% Chenin blanc, this is Romain Guiberteau’s first release from lieux-dit Le Bourg in the Brézé terroir.  A 1ha plot below Clos des Carmes which slopes toward the village with sandy-clay soil over a soft tuffeau limestone bedrock. Vines were palnted in the 1940’s. Whole bunch pressed and fermented naturally, aging for 12 months in used barrel before bottling.
