Zellenberg

A complantation of Riesling, Auxerrois, and Pinot’s (Gris, Blanc, etc). A ‘village’ wine with grapes from the vineyards Graffenreben and Ritterpfad, which surround the town of Zellenberg. Vines grow on soils consisting of marl mixed with limestone conglomerates and quaternary crystals. Fermentation with indigenous yeast and matured in large oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months.

Tasting Note: Aromas of peach, quince, grapefruit, apple with hints of tea, white flowers, wet stone, sage on the nose. Rich with an elegant texture and finessed on the palate, a core of ripe yellow fruit, fresh acidity, beautifully balanced, long length on a saline finish. Technically dry but may a hint of residual.
