Savigny-Les-Beaune Lavières 1er Cru
2017 - Warm spring with frost mostly avoided. Hot/warm weather for spring and summer leading to an early harvest. Picking dates are essential due to the risk of rain. A plentiful harvest. Fruit from a 1ha parcel, mid-slope, facing southeast in Les Lavières 1er Cru. Vines average 45 years. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months with 25% new.
Tasting Note: 2017 - Fresh aromas of red fruits: raspberry, cherry, with pencil lead, red flowers. Medium-bodied with fine tannin and supple, good acidity, finishing with soft red fruit & flowers.
