Vosne-Romanée La Colombière

This is a vineyard on a crop-sharing agreement with the Mugneret family and has been fully farmed by the Vigot family for 50 years. 2016 will mark the last vintage from this lieux-dit crafted by the Vigots

2016 - Devastating frost in April resulted in limited production for many, challenges combating mildew for some, but a warm dry summer helped to achieve good ripeness overall.

All vintages: Fruit from a parcel within La Colombière (lower slope, in the heart of Vosne), which has some of the oldest vines (80+ years) in the area. Stony and rich in clay with limestone. 100% de-stemmed fruit, aged in oak with 25% new.

Tasting Note: 2016 - Fresh strawberry and cherry with hints of wet earth and licorice aromas. Juicy ripe berry fruit on the palate, round with soft tannins, fresh acidity, with star anise spice on the finish.
