In 1982, the Marchesi di Gresy Estate began to take their grape pressings to the Bricco Albano Distillery in Barbaresco, a copper distillation plant designed for high-quality production; the process can be carried out at less atmospheric pressure and temperature and precious aromas and esters remain in the grappa.
