Indigo Gamay Saint-Romain

Certified organic grapes of a unique Gamay clone called Gamay St Romain from a single vineyard in the Côtes du Forez. Vines are around 10 years of age growing on granite sands over a base of volcanic rocks. Manual harvest with bunches destemmed, fermentation is spontaneous. Maturation mostly in concrete with a very small portion (8%) in oak for 8 months.

Tasting Note: Aromas of strawberry, cranberry, sour cherry, and raspberry with hints of herb, mushroom, and earth on the nose. Light and bright on the palate with a juicy red-fruited core, fresh acidity, fine tannin, slightly savoury, and good length on a spicy finish.
