Majorelle Grolleau Noir

A single plot Grolleau Noir from grower Daniel Macault in Juigné-Sur-Loire (Anjou). Grapes grow on clayey-sandy silt on a sandstone and schist base with an average vine age of 60 years and are in organic conversion. Manual harvest with carbonic maceration for 9 days, 100 % whole bunch, natural fermentation and aging in vats for 6 months.

Tasting Note: Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, blackberry with hints of tea spice, pencil shavings, violets on the nose. Medium bodied and vibrant on the palate, a bright berry fruit core, fresh acidity, fine tannin, good length on a floral finish.
