Le Clos De La Tour De Curon Chardonnay

Chardonnay from a tiny 0.27ha parcel at the top of the hill in the clos surrounding the Tower of Curon. A legendary vineyard which deserves a Grand Cru status with soils on a pure limestone bedrock. Vines planted in 2002 with from selection massale of old vines. Natural ferment in oak barrels (228L, generally 1/3 new oak) and aged for 2-3 years. Very limited production & will benefit with some time in the cellar.

Tasting Note: Aromas of yellow apple, pear, dry fruit, lemon with hints of wet stone, beeswax, white flower, flint, saline on the nose. Medium body on the palate with layers of fruit/mineral/spices, vibrant acidity, rounded texture, finessed & complex with a long layered finish.
