Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Goldkapsel Riesling Beerenauslese

Botrytis affected Riesling from the Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) of Berg Schlossberg in western Rheingau. Vines grow on a south-facing, steep terroir (65% slope) with generally good sun exposure and soils of quartzite and slate with good drainage. Vines average 50+ years. 

Tasting Note: Aromas of honey, pineapple, baked apple, apricot, candied lemon, marzipan, baking spices, tea on the nose. Luscious, rich, very textured & viscous on the palate with pure sweet orchard & citrus fruit and an array of spice and floral notes, moderate acidity, sweet with a long layered finish. Exceptional quality.
