Vinyes Altes

Old vine Cariñena (75%) and old vine Garnacha (25%) from the single vineyard of Vinyes Altes, which is one of the oldest and highest elevation vineyards on the rocky hillsides of Porrera. Vines for both the Cariñena and Garnacha are over 100 years growing on llicorella soil. Fermentation with natural yeast in stainless steel and aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 16 months. Very limited production.

Tasting Note: Aromas of red plum, black cherry, blueberry, with hints of tobacco, juniper, balsamic on the nose. Rich and powerful but still balanced on the palate with layers of dark fruit, mineral and spice, fresh acidity, structured with fine tannin, a long lingering finish complex finish.
