Bourgogne Aligoté

A mild, wet winter & spring, then a hot dry summer led to some risk of overripe fruit, cooler in late just before harvest. Yields slightly below average. Vines averaging 40 years from Le Chêne du Court, a vineyard on the hill of Vergy, in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Whole bunch pressed, half the juice will go into older oak for a year, the remainder in steel tank, blended together & bottled after 1 year.

Tasting Note: Fresh and floral with hints of green apple and citrus. Round and creamy on the palate with refreshing acidity to balance, lemon rind and elderflower on the finish.
