Bourgogne Aligoté Le Chêne du Court

Devastating frost in April resulted in limited production for many, challenges combating mildew for some, but a warm dry summer helped to achieve good ripeness overall. Vines averaging 40 years from Le Chêne du Court, a vineyard the hill of Vergy, in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Whole bunch pressed, half the juice will go into older oak for a year, the remainder in steel tank, blended together & bottled after 1 year.

Tasting Note: Aromas of ripe white fruit and citrus with hints of flowers. A refreshing and crisp palate, round in texture with vibrant acidity, a touch of mineral on the finish.
