Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru

Fruit from a 1ha parcel located within the 1er Cru Combettes, which is on the north end of Puligny, close to Meursault 1er Cru Charmes. Vines average 50+ years in age and are at mid-slope, growing on soils having more clay and less limestone. Aged in oak barrel for 12-18 months with 40% new barrel.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pear, peach, lemon, apple with hints of stone mineral, fresh bread, white flower, and lemongrass on the nose. Medium-bodied, supple and rich on the palate with a crisp citrus and orchard fruit core, fresh acidity, a rounded texture, great precision, a long finish with spice and saline mineral notes lingering. Amazing power and well worth cellaring.
