Bourgogne Aligoté

2017 - Warm spring with frost mostly avoided. Hot/warm weather for spring and summer leading to an early harvest. Picking dates are essential due to the risk of rain. A plentiful harvest.

All vintages of this wine have fruit from vines in Chassagne-Montrachet with an average age of 60 years. 12-15 months maturation in oak barrels on lees, no new oak.

Tasting Note: 2018 - Aromas of lemon citrus, green apple, pear with flint, white flower, and crushed rock on the nose. Lovely depth and round texture on the palate, orchard and citrus fruit with some mineral, fresh acidity, finessed with a salty mineral finish.
