Meursault Le Tesson

Fruit from a 0.86ha parcel in the highly prized Le Tesson vineyard, which faces northeast on the same elevation as the Mixed soils of clay and limestone, vines average 50+ years. Aged in oak for 12 months, with around 25% new oak. A wine noted for great minerality, Jean Philippe’s Le Tesson frequently surpasses wines from some 1er Cru vineyards, which only because of bureaucracy in the past that it isn’t a 1er Cru.

Tasting Note: Aromas of lemon, peach, apple with hints of acacia blossom, citrus zest, and chalk mineral on the nose. Medium-bodied and rich with an orchard fruit core, zippy acidity, gorgeous texture, great power and finesse, focused, and a long lemony finish.
