Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru

Fruit from a 0.22ha parcel within Les Referts 1er cru. Soils of red ochre (clay) & limestone with a lot of marl mixed in, vines planted in 1963. Aged in oak for 12 months, with around 10% new oak. Generally powerful, racy, rounder wines with amazing floral & pitted fruit aromas.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pear, orange, and lemon with hints of lilac, rose, fennel, hazelnut, and oak spice on the nose. Rich with a rounded texture on the palate, a floral and citrus fruit core, vibrant acidity, great depth and intensity, superb balance, and a long saline mineral finish.
