Mercurey Clos Champs Martin CARLINE 1er Cru

Fruit from a 0.6ha parcel within Les Champs Martin 1er Cru. Vines are 60+ years, growing on reddish soil with white stones. Vinified with 80% whole clusters, aging in oak barrels for at least 12 months with some new barrel use. Cuvée Carline is a dedication to Bruno’s sister.

Tasting Note: Aromas of wild berries: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry with hints of smoke, cocoa, cardamom, and red flower on the nose. Good richness and weight on the palate with a core of red/black fruit, fresh acidity, fine youthful tannin, and good length on a mineral finish.
