Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes De Beaune

2017 - Warm spring with frost mostly avoided. Hot/warm weather for spring and summer leading to an early harvest. Picking dates are essential due to the risk of rain. A plentiful harvest.

Fruit from calcium-rich limestone soils from the appellation west of Côtes de Beaune.  Matured in oak for 28 months in a mix of 1-3-year-old barrels.

Tasting Note: 2017 - Aromas of raspberry, plum, and red cherry with hints of oak spice and fresh herb. Light in body, fresh and juicy fruit on the mid-palate, good acidity, fine tannin, and slight mineral on the finish.

2019 - Aromas of raspberry, cherry, and red plum with hints of flower, spice, and earth on the nose. Medium-bodied, perfumed and bright on the palate, with a pure red fruit core, fresh acidity, fine tannin, and great length on a mineral finish.
