Pommard Chanlin Haut

Fruit from multiple parcels in Chanlin, a lieux dit up on the hill close to the Volnay border. Clay-based chalk soils with vines aged 70 & 35 years. Some stem inclusions depending on the vintage, fermented in stainless steel with natural yeast, 20 months aging in French oak (1st, 2nd, 3rd pass). Very minimal sulphur is used just before racking & bottling.

Tasting Note: Aromas of cherry, raspberry, and cranberry with hints of spice, forest floor, and flower on the nose. Rich and supple on the palate with a core of red berry fruit, fresh acidity, powdery tannin, great concentration, and a long spicy finish.
