Echézeaux Grand Cru

Seguin-Manuel-Echezeaux-R.jpg

Fruit from a cooler parcel called En Orveaux, which is above Clos de Vougeot. Soils are diverse with vines growing on clay, limestone, sand and stones. Hand harvested and sorted before an 18 day fermentation, maturation in oak barrels for 16 months with 50% new barrels.

Tasting Note: 2017 - Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plum with hints of violet, rose, underbrush, and clove on the nose. Lovely richness and supple on the palate with a juicy black and red fruit core layered with earth and spice, fresh acidity, and ripe tannin, structured yet great balance, long on a spiced finish.

2019 - Coming Soon.
