Gevrey-Chambertin

Devastating frost in April resulted in limited production for many, challenges combating mildew for some, but a warm dry summer helped to achieve good ripeness overall. Fruit from a parcel of clay/limestone soils named Les Journeaux, north of Gevrey in Brochon. Vines average 40years. Vinified and matured in oak barrels for 15 months with 25% new.

Tasting Note: Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, cherry, with a red flower on the nose. Medium-bodied with a juicy red fruit core, fine acidity, well balanced with soft tannin grip and spice notes on the finish.
