Volnay Vieilles Vignes

Fruit from the east-facing on the foothills of Volnay. Vines grow on clay-limestone soils and average 45 years of age. Manually harvested, grapes are sorted and fermented in tank, then matured in oak barrels for 14 months with 30% new barrels.

Tasting Note: Aromas of cherry, raspberry, and plum with hints of tea spice, flower, and forest floor on the nose. Finessed and ripe on the palate with sappy red fruit on the palate, fresh acidity, supple tannin, good depth and focused, tea spice on the finish.
