Pommard Petits Noizons

Seguin-Manuel-Petit-Noizon-R.jpg

A mild, wet winter & spring, then a hot dry summer led to some risk of overripe fruit, cooler in late just before harvest. Yields slightly below average. Fruit from a parcel in Petits Noizons south facing, with stony soils of clay & limestone with iron oxide. Vines average 60 years. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months with 20% new.

Tasting Note: Aromas of blackberry, black cherry with red flowers and forest floor. Fleshy and with a rounded texture, a ripe red fruit core, good acidity, fine tannin, and juicy on the finish.
