Loibner Ried Kreutles Grüner Veltliner Smaragd

Grüner Veltliner from a south-facing parcel in the Kreutles vineyard near the village of Unterloiben. Lower on the slope with soils of sandy loess with Gneiss components, vines average 25 years. The name of the vineyard refers to the undergrowth that had to be removed to cultivate the area. Vinified in stainless steel and old oak cask, aged 9 months on lees.

Tasting Note: Aromas of lemon, green apple, Mirabelle plum, with hints of flint, wet stone, flower on the nose. Great concentration and rich texture, balanced fruit/mineral/floral notes, fresh acidity, soft on the finish with notes of grapefruit.
