Loibner Ried Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd

Riesling from a south-facing, terraced parcel within the Loibenberg vineyard near the village of Unterloiben. Loess soils over a Gneiss bedrock, vines average 25 years, generally the warmest of the single vineyards. Vinified in stainless steel and old cask, aged 3 months on lees.

Tasting Note: Aromas of ripe lemon, citrus zest with flint, wet stone on the nose. Great power, concentration, and depth on the palate, juicy citrus, mouth-watering acidity, textural, very mineral on the long finish with hints of citrus zest.
