Single vineyard Listán Negro from the El Esquilon parcel, a northeast facing 1.2ha vineyard with vines averaging 80 years trained in the unique Cordon Trenzado method. Soils are clay over volcanic rock. Fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and 100% whole cluster, aged in 500L used French oak for 11 months. Only 4000 bottles made.

Tasting Note: 2016 - Aromas of red plum, cherry, and currants with stone mineral, flower, and herb on the nose. Elegant and polished on the palate, layers of stone mineral and bright red berry fruit, good tension, fresh acidity, fine tannin, finishing fresh and long with notes of stone mineral.

2017 - Aromas of cherry, wild strawberry, and cranberry with hints of stone mineral, flower, earth on the nose. Juicy with good ripeness on the palate, fleshy red fruit with fresh herb, bright acidity, fine tannin, good balance, good length on the spicy finish.
