Langhe Rosso Villa Martis

A Nebbiolo (60%) and Barbera (40%) blend. The Nebbiolo is from the Martinenga vineyard with limestone and blue marl soils, and Barbera from the valley just below. Aged in barriques for a brief period of time, then into large Slavonian oak for a total of 24 months. Villa Martis is the name of the first Roman settlement in the area.

Tasting Note: Aromas of raspberry, cranberry with black tea, earth, sage on the nose. Medium weight, focused, with fresh acidity on the palate, a bright red fruit core, fresh acidity, fine tannin, good length with a drying spicy finish.
