Rheingau Kiedricher Klosterberg Riesling Auslese

Very ripe Riesling from a southwest-facing parcel in the Klosterberg vineyard. A fairly windy area and vines grow on slate and gneiss soils. Vinified in stainless steel with 6-7 months on lees. A first vintage from this site.

Tasting Note: Very ripe aromas of lemon, apricot, peach with honey, white flower, marzipan on the nose. Great intensity and richness on the palate, sweet citrus & stone fruit core, almost viscous, fresh acidity balances the sweetness, great tension, amazing length on the finish with spice and mineral notes.
