Rheingau Kiedricher Klosterberg Riesling Spätlese

Very ripe Riesling from a southwest-facing parcel in the Klosterberg vineyard. A fairly windy area and vines grow on slate and gneiss soils. Vinified in stainless steel with 6-7 months on lees. The first vintage from this site.

Tasting Note: Aromas of lemon, peach, kumquat with notes of stone, fresh herbs on the nose. Pure and silky on the palate with ripe citrus and orchard fruit, sweet but balanced with taut acidity, a very fresh finish with good length and hints of mineral. Sweet.
