Pinot Noir Momentum Gaudeo

Pinot Noir primarily from Assmannshausen (slate soils) and some from Rüdesheim (loess, slate, quartzite soils), and includes some fruit from an old parcel of vines 60+ years. Hand harvested, fully destemmed, first-run juice only, maturation in mostly 2nd and 3rd use barrique for 18 months. (formerly labelled as just Pinot Noir).

Tasting Note: Aromas of cherry, plum, elderberry, and orange peel, with hints of dark chocolate, smoke, violets, and clove on the nose. Warm and rich on the palate with a good concentration of berry fruit and mineral freshness, good acidity, fine tannin, charming, great depth and a long finish with spice and mineral notes.
