Les Genettes Chardonnay Grand Cru

Eric’s single parcel expression of Chardonnay sourced from the vineyard of Les Genettes in Ambonnay. Genettes is the power and graceful version which complement very well the subtle and long Beurys. It comes from a vineyard that enjoys South-South East exposure and has a relatively deep topsoil before the roots can penetrate the chalky soil with an average vine age of 41 years. Vinification fully in oak barrels with no malolactic fermentation. Dosage is a low 3 grams per litre.

Tasting Note: Aromas of candied lemon peel, red apple, yellow plum, toasty brioche with generous minerality. On the palate racy acidity, depth and a precise finish with hints of subtle spices.
