UR / R18 (Les Ursules Blanc de Noirs)

Pinot Noir from the tiny 0.97ha parcel of Les Ursules, next to Cédric’s parents’ home in Celles-Sur-Ource. Relatively flat with a slight tilt to the north, the vines growing on limestone clay soils were planted in 1974 by Cédric’s father and currently average 35+ years. Only the first press juiced used, crushed by foot, and fermented in tank with indigenous yeast. Maturation on lees for 28 months, no dosage. This cuvée is noted to have the highest acidity, vinous and concentrated. This was a vineyard sourced from when Cédric originally started Roses de Jeanne.
