Condrieu Clos Chanson

Viognier from a south/southeast facing, steep terraced 3ha parcel of rocky, decomposed granite and clay soils. Vines average 50+ years of age. Fermentation and aged in barrique (25% new) for 1 year prior to bottling.

Tasting Note: Stone fruit, white flower, honeysuckle, mid palate density, opulence, length. Magical. Highly expressive mineral accented citrus pith, pit fruit, violet, pink grapefruit, Anjou pear, white peach candied ginger, subtle anise, finishes powerful mineral cut, suave floral & mineral. Aromas of white peach, Anjou pear, pink grapefruit with hints of white flower, honeysuckle, ginger, anise on the nose. Supple and rich on the palate with great depth of pitted fruit and mineral accents, fresh acidity, opulent, long length on a floral finish.
