Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Chardonnay

Chardonnay from 4 vineyards totalling 0.96ha with vines averaging 33 years and grow on diverse soil types including sand, clay, and gravel. Notable sites are Les Champs Riget and Au Burot. Hand harvested with gentle pressing, natural fermentation and aging in mostly older oak (just 5% new) for at least 12 months and a further maturation in steel tank before bottling.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pear, apple, and lemon with hints of white flower, almond, fennel, and stone mineral on the nose. Fresh and medium-bodied on the palate with a citrus & orchard fruit core, fresh acidity, and saline on the on the finish. Lovely finesse.
