Auxey-Duresses
Fruit from the south-facing, steep, chalky white soils of L’Argillas, just above the village. Vines are on average 40 years. 100% destemmed, ambient yeast fermentation and aged 18 months in oak, 20-30% new barrels.
Tasting Note: Aromas of cherry, raspberry, and plum with hints of rose, forest floor, and oak spice on the nose. Medium-bodied with good richness and a core of red/black fruit on the palate, layers of earth and spice compliment the juicy fruit, fresh acidity, fine youthful tannin, finessed, great length with notes of spice and stone mineral.
