Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru

Pinot Noir from 2 parcels, limestone-based Les Bréterins (responsible for the fruity element) and the clay-based Les Duresses (gives structure & density). Vines age ranges from 35-75 years. 100 destemmed, indigenous yeast, 18 months in oak barrel with 25% new oak.

Tasting Note: Aromas of raspberry jam, cranberry, plum with hints of rose, nutmeg, orange zest, slight earth on the nose. Charming with the impressive structure on the palate, juicy red berry fruit upfront, lively acidity, supple tannin, a good long finish with spice note coming through.
