Puligny-Montrachet
Fruit from 7 different parcels of a mix of clay and limestone within Puligny Montrachet, with a large portion from Les Meix. Fermentation with indigenous yeast and aged 12 months in oak on lees, 15% new.
Tasting Note: 2019 - Aromas of white peach, orange oil, lemon, and apple with notes of chalk, ginger, blossom, and baked bread on the nose. Lively and precisely on the palate, a ripe peach fruit note, bright acidity, rounded texture, layered, lengthy finish with floral and mineral tones.
2020 - “This has a reserved backward nose that takes time to open in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity but again, it is tight and linear. Just a touch of reduction on the finish indicates that it will be best in 3-4 years in the bottle.” - Neal Martin, Vinous. Oct 2021
