Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru

Négoce

A mild, wet winter & spring, then a hot dry summer led to some risk of overripe fruit, cooler in late just before harvest. Yields slightly below average. Fruit from a parcel at the top of the hill of Les Vergers, north of Chassagne Montrachet. Vinified and matured on lees in oak barrels for 15 months, with some new oak used.

Tasting Note: Aromas of yellow plum, lemon, grapefruit and a wet stone mineral note. Well balanced with a round texture, fresh acidity, a juicy citrus and orchard fruit core, and oak spice nuances on the finish.
