Clos De Vougeot Grand Cru

Négoce

2017 - Warm spring with frost mostly avoided. Hot/warm weather for spring and summer leading to an early harvest. Picking dates are essential due to the risk of rain. A plentiful harvest. Fruit from a parcel with deeper soil on the lower part of Clos de Vougeot. Maturation in oak barrels for 15 months with 40% new.

Tasting Note: 2017 - A bouquet of blackberry, cherry with liquorice spice and forest floor aromas. Rich and with a round texture, great concentration of ripe fruit with some oak spice, ripe tannins, fresh acidity, finishing long and persistent.
