Pommard

Excellent spring, but a hailstorm in late June reduced yields for some. Tricky summer with hot days and chilly/wet days, conditions improved to be warm and dry in August. Fruit from a cooler south-facing parcel, east of the village, called Les Vignots. Vines average 35 years. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months with 20% new.

Tasting Note: Ripe red fruit aromas of raspberry, cherry, plums with forest floor on the nose. Medium-bodied and a round texture, good acidity, fleshy fruit core with oak spice notes, with slight tannin grip on the finish.
