Loibner Grüner Veltliner Ried Loibenberg Smaragd

Grüner Veltliner from a south-facing, terraced parcel within the Loibenberg vineyard near the village of Unterloiben. Predominantly loess soils over a gneiss bedrock, vines average 28 years, generally warmest of the single vineyards. Vinified in stainless steel and old cask, aged 9 months on lees.

Tasting Note: Aromas of yellow plum, grapefruit, apricot, and peach with hints of wildflower, fresh herb, and flint on the nose. Bright with a lovely richness on the palate, a juicy yellow fruit core, fresh acidity, great concentration, and saline notes on a long finish.
