Riesling Ried Siberbichl

A single vineyard Riesling from Reid Silberbichl, a classified 1ötw Erste Lage in Furth bei Göttweig. The vineyard is on a broad terrace formed by a former watercourse of the Danube River. Conglomerate soils with micro schist and some loess. Vines average 25+ years. Spontaneous ferment with natural yeast in stainless tanks with lees contact for at least 6 months before bottling. The name Silber (silver) derives from the abundance of mica crystals in the soil.

Tasting Note: Aromas of apricot and tangerine with delicate spiciness and stone mineral on the nose. Ripe and elegant with notes of tangerine extending to the palate, crisp acidity, salty mineral, citrus notes on the dry finish.
