Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese

Riesling from the Graacher Himmelreich vineyard which borders the south of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard. Southwest facing and the slope is less steep with deeper soils that act as excellent water reservoirs. Soils consist of weathered grey slate and pockets of blue slate. Wines generally are noted for their racy acidity, pronounced minerality, and different fruit notes. Often are accessible slightly earlier than Wehlner Sonnenuhr.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pear, peach, candied citrus, mandarin with flint, honeysuckle, camomile, fresh herb on the nose. Gorgeous on the palate with ultra-ripe/sweet fruit balanced with stone mineral and hints of smoke, sweet without being cloying, lush texture, good acidity, good length on a fresh finish. Medium dry/medium-sweet.
