Situated and nestled on the hills in the village of Curtil-Vergy, overlooking Vosne Romanée and Nuits Saint Georges, is where you’ll find Domaine Bertrand Machard de Gramont. Founded in 1983, Axelle Machard de Gramont now runs the operations for the family Domaine, since taking over from her father in 2004. Vineyard holdings are a mere 6ha which are all certified organic and now employing biodynamics. Apart from small parcels in Vosne & Curtil-Vergy, the Domaine’s parcels are based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, including a terraced vineyard abandoned since 1800 that was recently revived. With less intervention in the winery, wines are found to be soft with elegant structure while still retaining rich fruit,
showcasing its terroir.
