Cantina Museo Albea

Alberobello, Puglia

In the commune of Alberobello in Puglia among olive groves, golden wheat farms, and unique trullo buildings - beautiful traditional homes with a conical roof made of limestone, is where Cantina Museo Albea is located, in one of the oldest and the most important wineries in the area. Founded in 1905, the facilities are entirely built-in stone with even vats carved out of rock. The winery is an important example of how modern conception and realities can be integrated, with classical structures. The main philosophy behind Cantina Museo Albea is to work with growers in an eco-sustainable way to continue to preserve the rich history of the area. Respect the land, improve the quality of life for the growers and the quality as a wine-producing area; a project called Albea Land was initiated with these goals in mind. The quality and production standards are set to obtain optimal characteristics from each vineyard, with a focus on native grapes. Rich, ripe, pure wines are produced using grapes native to the area such as Uva di Troia, Maresco, Primitivo, Verdeca, Bianco d’Alessano.
