Domaine Chevrot Et Fils
Cheilly-lès-Maranges
Brothers Pablo & Vincent Chevrot both manage Domaine Chevrot, where their wine-growing history began back in 1798. The Chevrot family’s long history in Maranges played a key role in the area. They were granted AOC status in 1988. Vineyard holdings total 18.5ha and are farmed organically and employ biodynamic practices. With the help of a horse, they seek to be faithful to their terroir. Cellar practices are mainly hands-off with additions avoided and have very minimal use of sulphur. Fruit is generally all destemmed, but will use whole clusters in top cuvées. Honest wines overall, expressing their terroir and showing great purity. Pablo is a founder and member of “Les Aligoteurs”, an association striving to preserve and promote the Aligoté grape. The wines are truly honest that show great purity with nothing added.
