Domaine Seguin Manuel
Beaune
The historic estate of Domaine Seguin Manuel was originally founded in 1824. In 2004, a complete renewal occurred with the acquisition of Thibault Marion, a 10th generation winegrower. Operations were moved to Beaune, where new parcels in Pommard, Meursault, and Vosne Romanée added a further total of 8.5ha. A négociant business and contracts were created with quality growers adding 12ha more to the estate, spanning from Chablis to Mâconnais. Since 2004, the vineyards have been worked organically, eliminating the use of chemicals and focusing on lower yields. In the cellar, destemming is preferred. However, stems may be used depending on the vintage. New oak varies from 0-50% and only organic fruit is purchased from the négociant side of the business. Thibault strives “to have the most beautiful grapes,” and the wines definitely carry the purity and ripeness from all his work.
