Domaine Etienne Sauzet

Puligny-Montrachet

Wines from Domaine Etienne Sauzet have always captured the delicacy, vivid aromas of each terroir. Established in the 1920s, 4th generation Émilie and winemaker/husband Benoît Riffault run the daily operations. Owning 15ha of vines in Puligny, Chassagne, and the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, farming has always incorporated organic and biodynamic methods with all Domaine fruit being certified organic. Some grapes are purchased from family and trusted growers who follow the same principles. Wines are left on lees as long as possible with an average of 12-18 months in barrel and stainless steel tank maturation. New oak use averages 15-35% depending on the vintage and cuvée. Benoît’s immaculate winemaking showcases minerality, precision, and exceptional length in every bottle. Universally recognized as a benchmark, truly one of the masters of Puligny Montrachet!
